2020, one month is about to finish, and Google came up with its first major changes – “Ads search result.” It is about the changes in the look of the search result, with no major difference between search results and ads. Earlier, if we see in 2013 the ads where highlighted in the yellow box, and till 2019 the ads used to be differentiated and were presented with a small green box highlighting the paid Ads.

Now Google made a few changes that are:

• The Ad icon color is black, normal in font size and bold in style
• The URL of the search results used to be below the keywords, but now the URLs are above the keywords
• The other search results now have a Favicon image earlier. There was no such logo.

This difference makes the organic result and paid ads identical and may lead to a higher click. Now the digital marketing agency in India has to focus on the optimization of the Favicon image as well basically for the desktop search result.  

It was expected that Google would remove the Ad icon but rather than removing it have updated.
