10 Minute Awakening Review

Recently, I saw a comment on a blog declaring the statement that,  10 Minute Awakening Review "Christianity is evil", and going on to cite evidence for this assertion.  And I thought to myself, "In a certain light, I would agree with this assessment."  I say this as a Christian.  So, I guess I'll have to explain myself, right?  I'll try.

There is no doubt that the religion of Christianity has an atrocious record of having tortured and killed many people in the name of God over the centuries in many places.  Even though we can argue that a worldview like atheism  has destroyed and brought more chaos than any other system in the 20th century, the fact that the Christian has been associated with even a few cases of killing and murder invalidates the core of Christianity professed: that God is love, and we are to love one another and love our enemies.
 
Put this record together with all the times Christian people has slandered others, have gossiped about others, have degraded other' beliefs and ethnicity (Yes, Christian's have used anti-Semitism); how Christians have practiced inequity in business and in some cases withheld generosity----and it can be understood why Gandhi said something to the effect of, "I okay with Christ, but not his followers."
