Well you're in good company. Millions of us are in the same boat as you. Some are still fat, and others are just trying every day to keep it off. I mean no disrespect here either. Please don't get me wrong. But people who think they are going to lose 100 pounds and miraculously stay thin for the rest of their lives with nothing but a short stroll every day are just plain fooling themselves.

Some clever marketer told us that as long as we switch from McDonalds to Subway we will never regain the weight, and sadly too many people have believed it! Now that's wishful thinking for you!

If you are anything like me, I hate going to the gym. Working out isn't so bad, its just the thought of being the one person who isn't quite trim yet amongst all those fitness freaks who look nothing short of amazing even with sweat dripping off them.

There is of course the free aerobics on television that you can exercise along with. But that's not great either. Is it just me, or do you feel like a real idiot bouncing around the lounge room? And I don't know if you've noticed, but those aerobic instructors just can't seem to count! You know how it goes... " You're doing great...just three more! Three...two..." and then there is another round of encouragement to distract you from the fact that they tricked you into doing another five reps! "You can do it! Don't give up, you're almost done!" before finally saying "Last one! Well done, you made it!" By that stage, I'm usually in a heap on the floor.
