VIMANA to exhibit prototype of first VTOL AAV for urban air mobility market
January 24, 2018 — DAVOS, Switzerland — VIMANA Global, a startup fusing autonomous aerospace design with blockchain technology, is exhibiting its first VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) autonomous aerial vehicle (AAV) at the World Economic Forum annual meeting, in Davos.

VIMANA is the only startup that seeks to enable the Blockchain Airspace market by launching a Smart City-specific, integrated, turnkey urban air mobility (UAM) solution.

“VIMANA Global is solving a key UAM challenge, that of extending the blockchain into the air, and delivering the technology that would enable unmanned flights to launch and fly safely in any national airspace,” says Evgeni Borisov, founder and CEO, VIMANA.

The prototype is on display, January 23-27 at the VIMANA Terrace at the Seehof Hotel. There will be a gala opening hosted by VIMANA on the terrace, January 25 from 4 P.M. – 6 P.M. Media representatives are invited to attend the opening. “VIMANA is uniquely positioned to make a major Urban Air Mobility impact by solving the looming traffic congestion infrastructure crisis,” says VIMANA advisory board member Max Smetannikov. “VIMANA is putting smart cities into the driver’s seat with its blockchain-based air traffic control network that puts into operation a blockchain standard to be used with third party AAVs and UAVs.”
