How to setup gmail on android tablet ?
To setup the gmail account in your android device then for that one need to enable the IMAP mail server settings in your gmail. And for that one need to follow up the below given steps.
Step 1: First of all sign in to your gmail account.
Step 2: And for that you need to enter your required gmail username and password in the required field.
Step 3: After that click on the login option.
Step 4: Press on the gear icon present on the upper right corner of the gmail home page.
Step 5: Then after choose the ‘gmail settings’ options in the gear icon.
Step 6: Click on the ‘forwarding and POP/IMAP’ settings.
Step 7: There choose the ‘enable IMAP’.
Step 8: Then finally configure your IMAP clients and then click on the ‘save changes’ option.
Hence byv now you have enabled the gmail IMAP settings. And now you can make the next step towards the android device, which are mentioned as below :
Step 1: Now in your android device, click on the ‘emial’ icon.
Step 2: There enter your email address and then password of your gmail account.
Step 3: Then tap on the ‘manual settings’ options.
Step 4: There select the IMAP settings option.
Step 5: On the next screen, enter username, password in the incoming mail server. Where Imap server would be – imap.gmail.com
port – 993 or 143
Security type should be - SSL
Step 6: Then type on the next option.
Step 7 : There an outgoing mail server settings will appear.
SMTP server – smtp.gmail.com
port – 25 or 465
security type - SSL
Step 8: Then again click on the next option.
Step 9: When done click on the ‘done’ option.
