Pyrethroids are synthetic compounds similar to pyethrin, a natural compound produced by flowers of Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium and Chrysanthemum coccineum. These acidic lipophilic compounds have potent insecticidal property and can paralyze nervous system of insects.
