The history of Paddington Station was started when the permanent station was opened for the public (The one we see today). However, in 4th June 1838, the London Paddington station had inaugurated a temporary station. It was defined as "London Paddington", but sometimes later it obtained the popular name as Paddington, which drew on the London Underground Map.
