GaN (Gallium Nitride) Semiconductor is most commonly used in LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes). It is a III/V direct band-gap semiconductor having a Wurtzite Crystal structure. Some other applications include, high frequency and high power devices, and optoelectronic devices.
