Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, also known as hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy, is a group of inherited genetic disorders that damage peripheral nerves. Symptoms of this disease include weak leg and foot muscles, numbness and tingling in the feet and hands, and foot bones that curve abnormally. It is the most common inherited peripheral neuropathy.
