Startup Guide Aarhus

Aarhus is commonly known as the world’s smallest metropolis, but it should really be called the world’s biggest village. It is large enough to offer a diverse array of events and subcultures, yet small enough for the inhabitants to keep track of what’s going on. If you’re passionate and proactive about the things you care about, chances are you’ll quickly get to know the right people in your field.

The startup-scene has been gaining momentum here for several years, recently accelerated by the city’s selection for Capital of Culture in 2017. Aarhus’ infrastructure is undergoing its biggest makeover in decades with the construction of the new harbour area “Aarhus Ø”, while lines and lanes for the future tramway are being built simultaneously. If you want development and an inclusive startup-environment with plenty of cultural capital, Aarhus is the place to be.
