Most of us made the mistake of keeping an email account which we don’t use it for a very long time. If you have an account with AOL and looking for canceling the services, you must be aware of a few things. You can’t delete the single email service, you need to delete the entire account which means you will lose access from all AOL services such as AIM and more. 

The process for deactivating or canceling your AOL service depends on whether you have a free or paid account. Once you disable an AOL account, you cannot revive it or bring back any messages received through the account. Also, your emails and address book are removed permanently after 90 days; you can't recuperate the account after 90 days. However, you can regain access to AOL and the address book back if you log in within 90 days.

Canceling a Free AOL Account

Cancel Free AOL services.

1. Browse to the AOL sign-in page and enter your username and password along with the answer to security question and Tap on "Continue" to finish the sign-in process.
2. Tap on "Manage My Subscriptions" or "Manage My AOL Account" inside the Service segment.
3. Find your account data and Tap on "Cancel".
4. Now choose the cause why you are canceling your account from the menu on the following screen. Press the "Cancel AOL" option on the screen to deactivate the account.

Disabling a Paid AOL Account

Cancel Premium AOL services.

1. Go to the AOL login page from your default internet browser and sign in to your account using the AOL username and password.  

2. Tap on "Manage My Subscriptions" in the Service Options. Pinpoint your account information and tick "Cancel Billing," which looks under the information.

3. Analysis of the list of features you will no longer be able to access by canceling your account. Hit on "Cancel My Billing" to finish the canceling of the AOL account process.

However, you can take help from the AOL customer support by choosing the mode from chat, call or email. You can call the customer support of AOL by dialing the 1-800-827-6364, but this feature is available only for paid users. Free AOL users can follow the above-given steps or navigate the AOL support page.
