Lifeshelter®

Today, too many respond to the need for housing with emergency or transitional shelters that after a relatively short life, typically 3-6 months, turn into large amounts of waste. Lifeshelter® gives a long lasting alternative to common solutions.

Lifeshelter® is both economically and environmentally attractive as the shelters meet both immediate needs and can be disassembled, transported and reused for well-insulated permanent dwellings.

The patent pending design utilizes a well-insulating curved construction unit made of recyclable rigid foam coated with cement-plaster as the basic component.

Two units put together form an arch (a catenary) and additional arches can be added to meet the desired length of the shelter. The rugged structure is easy to assemble and is self-supporting.

Well-insulated, the shelters also protect the dwellers in areas of cold and warm temperature extremes.

Due to its unique design and low weight the shelter can easily be disassembled, transported and reused in a different location or as the primary part of the roof-structure in a future permanent house.

Simple and Easy to Erect

•    Rapid assembly without tools

•    Minimal use of materials due to optimized design

Cost Effective

•    Eliminates the high costs associated with wood, steel, nails and screws

•    One structure replaces the subsequent needs for multiple housing solutions from emergency tents to transitional housing and permanent homes

Mobile and Reusable

•    Durable low-weight components

•    Easy to disassemble and reassemble in a new location

Well Insulated

•    Perfectly suited for hot or cold climates

•    Sound insulated

Sturdy and Safe Housing

•    Arched structure provides maximum space and strength to shelter

•    Sturdier than tents or transitional housing that can collapse as the result of earthquakes or storms

Adaptable Design

•    Meets a wide variety of shelter needs

•    Modular design allows components to be ideally configured for homes, schools, medical facilities etc.
