This is the twenty-first century. Anyone who travels from the past into our present will not simply be hit by technology beyond their wildest imaginations, but they probably won’t want to go back. Everyone’s primary objective is to keep their families safe. Today’s smart home technology provides security solutions that can be managed both locally and remotely. Motion and heat sensors, cameras, fire and intrusion alarms all networked and wired to perform their tasks instantly upon the trigger. These systems are actually designed to “think”, preempt your actions, learn your habit and be able to tell the difference between you and an intruder. 

Communications and Entertainment

A lot can be said about how far and smart home entertainment systems have become. They can select movie and music playlists for us, they can tell when we get a call and we decide to pick it up, lowering the ambient sound automatically as we pick our call, The fridges and toasters, heat and air conditioning systems all working together for our comfort.

But you need to have a design where a certain level of human oversight so you know what is going on in your own home and life.
