Megluflor Injection

Composition: Each 1 ml contains:

  • Florfenicol 300 mg.
  • Flunixin ( as flunixin meglumine ) 16.5 mg.

Properties :
Florfenicol is a broad spectrum antibiotic that has activity against many bacteria such as Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella haemolytica, Haemophilus somnus and Mycoplasma bovis. It acts by binding to the 50S ribosome, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
Flunixin meglumine belongs to NSAIDs which have analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity by acting as a very potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase.

Indications :

Megluflor is indicated for treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) in cattle associated with Pasteurella
multocida, Pasteurella haemolytica and Mycoplasma bovis.

Dosage: by subcutaneous injection.

6 ml Megluflor / 45 kg body weight as a single dose.
