Is transparency the newest feature available from Vivo?
In a new product advertisement, Vivo teases the option of a transparent device however, is it possible that this is just a regular ad that won’t reveal any specifics about the device?
Just when you think that smartphone manufacturers have no more room for innovation, companies release a new amenity which blows consumers away. Just about every major manufacturer on the market provides a quality experience whether from the fingerprint scanner or the all-metal design. Running out of new options, there seems to be an influx of “bendable” smartphones and tablets that seem ready to flood the market but are we really ready for that yet?
While consumers toy with thoughts of bendable devices, a certain phone manufacturer is taking on a new challenge for the industry. Vivo is looking from a different perspective and is throwing around the idea of a transparent device. In a new product ad released by the company, there is a man holding what appears to be a transparent smartphone. The ad doesn’t really show much unfortunately except that it looks like a standard smartphone, just transparent.
Now there are two ways we can think about this advertisement. The first would be to consider the possibility that Vivo is actually working on a transparent device which could lead to breakthroughs in technology and for some consumers who already lose their phone in plain sight, a problem of really losing their device if it becomes transparent. The other possibility would be to consider the idea that the phone seen in the ad was actually just made transparent so no details would be revealed about it.
Based on the outlines of the device however, you can tell that there is some type of bezel so it’s likely that the device was actually being held but was photoshopped out to not ruin any surprises. Being optimistic, I would like to think that there can be an improvement in technology in the future which would allow for phones to become transparent however, I believe that is still a concept that is a bit further down the road. Realistically speaking, it is probable that this ad was just a teaser for their new device that they are working on without revealing anything too early in the game. Only time will let us know for sure though so make sure you keep your eyes open for any updates regarding the new device.
