Janine Johnson 'Soul in the City' at PizzaExpress Live (Holborn)

London, UK – Up and coming British solo artist, Janine Johnson, is bringing her own brand of Old Skool Jazz/Soul artistry to Holborn’s PizzaExpress Live on 30 June. This all new quarterly event, Soul in the City, promised Jazz/Soul lovers an evening to remember with some of your favourite soul classics as well as some of the new generation sounds that have created a renewed following within the industry.

 

Fans of soul and jazz music and like artists Gwen McCrae, Chaka Khan, Jocelyn Brown, The Brand-New Heavies and Incognito will find Soul in the City to be an inspirational experience that will embody everything this genre is about and leave them wanting more.

 

As an accomplished solo singer and lead vocalist for both the Westcoast Soulstars and Urban Voices Collective, Janine also performs as a backing vocalist and session singer. Her intensive body of work includes collaborations with industry greats, Ian Shaw, Paloma Faith, Bobby McFerrin, Cool Million, Take That, George Michael, Ray Davies, The Who, Kaiser Chiefs, Sarah Jane Morris, David Arnold and many more. On 30 June at Holborn’s PizzaExpress Live, Janine’s fans can expect a set list of her most popular tracks and maybe some they haven’t heard in a while.
