Australia is known to be one of the top countries in the world who loves cricket. According to the National Cricket Census, more than a million Australians have been recorded to engage in cricket competitions and an average of 93.6% watched at least one cricket match on TV.

Playing cricket has no age limit. That is why it became the favourite sport of Australians because it allows children and adults to bond together. Some enjoy watching a cricket match rather than going out to the beach.

Clubs for children, young adults, and senior citizens were also established in Australia’s cricket scene. They even consider cricket as the nation’s summer sport.

A lot of attention goes to Women’s Cricket, T20 Cricket, Men’s ODI Cricket, and Men’s Test Match Cricket averaging to 7.1 million TV viewership in which 4.5 million were men and 2.6 million were women.

Statistics have also shown that Australians who are born from 1946-1960 are the biggest population of cricket watchers on TV followed by Generation X which are born from 1961-1975. Even stadiums during competitions are always a full house because of cricket’s avid fans who also enjoy betting on live cricket odds.

Cricket Australia has also released an advertisement campaign showcasing a 4-year-old boy and his dad who regularly practice rolling a cricket pitch near their home and play backyard cricket afterwards.

Similar to the boy mentioned earlier, they have also headlined a 10-year-old girl named Emma who has been playing cricket for 5 years now and was encouraged by her dad to play cricket.

She also believes that she loves to see women playing cricket and would like to be a cricketer when she gets older. Her dream is to be the captain of the team.

This dedication from Australian cricket fans is heartwarming and an inspiration for everyone around the world.

However, because of the pandemic spreading across the globe which tolled 539 positive cases in Australia as of recent news, the most-anticipated ODI match between Australia and New Zealand has been deferred to avoid the continuous spread of the disease.

Sports betting sites were prepared to cover live cricket odds of the matches. However, all cricket betting activity has been postponed due to match delays.
