To further the reach of its new, in-house training centre, and extend awareness of the continuing medical education courses and workshops it offers to dental practitioners across the region, Dubai-based clinic Vilafortuny has partnered up with the Middle East arm of Dental Tribune. The international organisation connects, through newsletters, newspapers, events and conferences, the dental community at large.

“Inbound medical tourism serves as an engine of heavy economic growth in the Middle East. Therefore, too better serve the burgeoning volume of medical tourists in the region, individual national authorities are enforcing further education rules to ensure regional practitioners are up-to-date with industry practices,” says Dr Kathrin Trelles, founder of Vilafortuny.

“Our training centre allows medical and dental practitioners to meet their continuing education requirements, keep up-to-date with new developments in their respective fields and acquire new certifications. Our partnership with Dental Tribune will help us connect with dental practitioners across the region keen on advancing their knowledge and skill,” adds Dr Trelles.

Celebrated doctors from across Europe and America are being booked by Vilafortuny to conduct courses at the DHA-accredited training centre, which will incorporate hands-on training and live demonstrations on laser applications for various dental specialities including aesthetic dentistry, periodontics, modern endodontics, clinical photography, courses in maxillofacial surgery with orthodontics, implantology, as well as courses for dental technicians.

Dr Trelles further notes: “Dental Tribune is in touch with over 60,000 dental professionals in the Middle East, and has partnered up with multiple institutions across the region to generate a pool of information to channel back into the community. We are delighted to be associated with this widespread network of practitioners, who will now have access to our reservoir of knowledge as well through this association.”
