The city of Calgary mandated to recycle junk in residential buildings’
Canada: It was only last year in November, 2017 when the City of Calgary mandated the laws to put up waste management and garbage recycling units across the city in residential buildings and condos. This move by the City to set up Green Bins in Calgary was very well received in the wake of creating a better environment to live in. Since the order became official, there are several companies that have set up units in the city and are helping people with their waste management and garbage disposal activities. However, some of the companies outshone others by providing at par services. One of such companies is Calgary Urban Recycling which is very well renowned in the city now.
CUR was one of the first companies to set up a unit that handled garbage disposal, waste management and organic material handling. Even though this concept is yet to be explored completely, CUR has managed to acquire a great market share with their excellent services and the motive to make the world we live in a better place. This is the primary reason why CUR has tried to make these services as easy as possible. They collect the waste and junk from the customer’s doorstep. In fact, in residential buildings and complexes where CUR provides services, they have set up green bins in Calgary in those areas. For instance, for organic waste, there are two separate bins, one each for raw and cooked organic waste. These bins averagely have the capacity of 32 gallons each. For garbage and other waste material, CUR has setup 95 gallon bins in the building itself. These have more capacity and are also easily visible.
It seems like CUR is doing its bit for the environment and it’s time that we all do too. As per the order of the city that was passed on 01 November, 2017, all multi-family buildings, apartments and condos must separate their yard and food waste from all other types of garbage. This is done so that composting or diversion can be easily carried out. With companies like CUR making this order easy on the customers, that day is not far when our environment will return to its natural and healthy state.
