It is easy to blame other people for things that go wrong in our lives. It really is. When things aren't going the way we'd like them to go, it is much easier to lay the blame on others or on external circumstances or situations outside of our control. Why? Well, taking the blame for things that go wrong or taking ownership of a situation might hurt our egos. Taking the blame might remind us of our limitations and our bad choices. Placing blame on other people or circumstances beyond our control makes us feel better and preserves our ego. Unfortunately, making excuses often means we fail to make progress.
