Until the mid-eighties citrus export was controlled only by the government . Only in 1986 was the private sector allowed to start exporting citrus. Immediately , as it was a new opportunity the company built its packing line from " RODA” in Italy . In the early nineties the company was contracted to big citrus suppliers and only exported oranges “Navel, Baladi, Sukkary, and Valencia”. In 1992 with the first farm being bought in “NUBAREYA” area Lemons and Easy Peelers were planted . In 2000 in the same farm 200 hectares of oranges mainly Valencia and Navel were planted. Since that year and on a yearly basis 50-100 hectares are added to the company's plantations. The main reason for the increase in plantations is to have more control on our exported products. The company now has an area of about 500 hectares planted with different citrus varieties all Eurep-gap certified . Not only has the company invested in plantation , but also in 2002 a new cold store with a 2000 tons capacity was built. And also in 2004 a second packing line was imported in order to have a bigger capacity and better quality which is the company's main concern. Different brands are available (Eissa, Nahdet Misr, Nefrt and Semiramis) , in order not to ship the same brand to 2 clients in the same country. Packing is done in different boxes either open top trays or telescopic boxes. Our aim is to satisfy our customers this is why we are having a wide variety of products and brands.
