What is the question to ask before you can make the deal, have a look at it?
What is the Motive Behind?
Firstly, you need to ask the client, the objective of holding an event. Most of them will not be clear about their basic objectives. You need to understand the client’s goal and objective to help you devise a strategy that meets their needs.
Whether they are holding an event to drive awareness about their product, or planning a treat for the board of directors and hold a formal meeting. After knowing the objective, you can design a strategy that caters to client’s need.
What is the Budget?
Budget is also one of the most important questions you need to ask. Majority of clients would like to have everything at the event without having enough money to pay. Make sure to ask the budget upfront and put forward an offer that would best meet their objectives. If the client is low on budget, you can offer the basic amenities that would fulfill the client’s need.
Who is the Attendee?
After getting the answers to the objectives and budget, the next big question is to find who the ideal attendee is. For example, if you are developing a new product, have you researched on its target audience or ideal people to reach out. Same goes for an event where you have to find the ideal attendees that would largely focus on their needs. Spend some time to know who will be attending your event and what their interests are.
What are the Limitations?
There are some limitations that need to be considered before every event. The biggest limitations are time, cost and quality along with some other factors as well. For instance, what will be the means of transport, how will people manage to come in extreme weather situations and much more. All of these factors need to be considered and asked your client to remove any ambiguities.
When it comes to event planning and event management, you need to find answers to the questions that would lead an event to be a sheer success. All it depends on the client’s requirements and without having a picture, you won’t be able to close the deal. Ask the questions as much as you can so that you and your clients are not jeopardizing the event at any cost.
