  • First and foremost, you need to check if the door corners and frame are properly aligned or whether the door is catching on the frame. If this happens:
  1. Using a screwdriver, tighten the door hinges. This may cause realignment of the door by pulling back the door towards the jamb.
  2. Remove the middle screw from the top hinge and replace it with a longer screw if tightening the screws does not work.
  3. Use a longer screw for the top door hinge. This will also help in pulling the door back towards the jamb.
  • Check the gaps between the door and frame. To correct this, there are a couple of things that you can try.
  1. Cut out cardboard pieces of the exact same size as the hinge and place them in the place where the hinge is put. Screw the hinges back on the cardboard and tighten.
  2. Check if the gap decreases. If it does not, put as many cardboard pieces as required.
