The ETA depends on the validity of your passport since these two documents are electronically linked with each other. When applying for a new ETA, don’t forget to input your new passport details or everything that has been changed upon your passport renewal (from address, to document number, down to its validity period). Otherwise, your ETA application will be rejected by the system.

Again, the details on your passport MUST correspond with the details on your ETA.
