What is GATE?

GATE is known to test the basics of Engineering in a shrewd way. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is mutually conducted by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs),  IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Each year, GATE is organized by any of these Eight institutes i.e. Indian Institute of Sciences and Seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The general obligation and coordination of directing GATE are finished by that establishment which is assigned as Organizing Institute (OI) in that year. This test is directed by the National Coordination  Board-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Government of India, and Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD).

Fundamentally, GATE 2020 is an examination which tests the complete comprehension of engineering and science subjects. The GATE score is utilized for getting admissions in various posts graduate programs such as  Master of Technology, Master of Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy in national institutes and in some international institutes such as Technical Universities of Germany and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Aside from educational programs, there are Indian PSUs (Public Sectors Undertakings) which acknowledge GATE scores for the shortlisting of the competitors.

PSU Through GATE 2020   

Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) is a Government-owned corporation or organization in which Central or State Government have over 51% share. Essentially, these Government organizations run like privately owned businesses and offer benefits to the Government. A career with PSU requires a strong and top to bottom technical knowledge and core engineering principals. All these Public sector organizations recruit Engineer Trainee (ET) based on the GATE scores. Initially, they would shortlist candidates based on GATE scores and then the process is trailed by GD and Interview for evaluation of various features of information.

Every year the count of PSUs recruiting through GATE is increasing and if one goes by the past trends the figure could well cross 53. The Major eligibility criteria that are important to apply for PSU recruitment through GATE 2020 is having a valid GATE score.
