I'm a millennial, born in the late 80s working in tech. Armed with two masters degrees, I've zigzagged through more countries, industries, and educational trajectories than your shoelaces. I don't have a dream job, I don't think it exists (not yet anyways). I'm uncertain about a lot of things but what I do know is that we're all already living in a millennial world. It's connected. It's open. There are more millennials than baby boomers globally. And at work, there's real friction when we confront dated methods, information styles, rigidity, or stale management styles.
We're the generation that is used to (some) things quickly, somewhat conveniently. It is entitled, but it's also a reality, for some. We live and embrace diversity - we’ve pushed for the legalization of gay marriage and weed, we’re making important social and environmental acupunctures and we’re open to change. All we know is change. We're also the generation that shouldered the recession at the launch point of our careers. So what did we do?
