Success Explained - Excellence Comes Through the Educational Necessity of Failure

"Love is not some complex, mystical abstraction. It is something accessible and human that we learn through our everyday experience, as often at times of failure as in moments of ecstasy."   Leo Buscaglia
Lessons of life often come fastest when we aren't looking. The past three months have been particularly difficult for our family. While joy has been the ultimate result, the trials have been often and many. From any given moment to the next I wasn't sure where I'd find myself. It was a given that I'd be standing firm on a foundation of faith, but the winds were blowing often from different directions.

Resilience Key in the performance of my work, parenting, and educational pursuits was my ability to bounce back from the tsunami's life passed my way, and somehow manage to stand in the face of difficulties. When I realized that I wasn't facing the struggles alone, it became easier to face them. As with any struggle, when you lock arms with those of like minded faith, you're able to walk against the winds and remain vertical. Strength to recover comes quickly once you realize you're not alone, there are others close by who are not only willing but able to help you carry the load.

Faith Understand that this moment too shall pass, as will many more besides, and the one in whom you do have faith will remain. The concept of believing in one greater than myself isn't new. My personal choice to believe in God has been a powerful factor in my own ability to keep the faith and stay on track. I believe God holds the key, therefore, I can keep walking resolutely toward the door of Joy, knowing the key will be there when I need it. Faith in God is my foundation for life. Faith allows me to understand that even in failure there's a positive lesson I can learn.
