smartBandStand Norway Ahead of the Curve in Tech Product Design

Ballintogher, Ireland, April 03, 2014 - When it comes to early adoption of new tech and design, Norway seems to be ahead of the curve compared to other Scandinavian countries.
Following the launch of its crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, Irish start-up smartBandStand ltd. has expressed its surprise and delight at the amount of interest generated by its new multi-purpose stand/armband in Norway. When asked why he thought the product was gaining particular attention in Norway, company founder Brian Halpin offered his own theory:
"We all know about the great design tradition throughout Scandinavia - Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. We'd like to think that our product links perfectly into that tradition. Why Norway? Norwegians are famous for their love of the outdoors. We suspect that the huge number of cross-country skiers there have seen the merit in a device which allows them to have full access to their smartphone while it's being worn on the arm. No one wants to grope around in a coat pocket for their smartphone, only to see it drop into the snow!"
Mr. Halpin went on to say that smartBandStand ltd. may need to revise their intended distribution partnerships to reflect this news.
"Although the Norwegian market is not as large as others in Scandinavia, smartBandStand is only too happy to adapt our business to reflect our earliest fan-base. We will be actively seeking distribution partners in the next couple of weeks."
