Poulet Facebook photo contest winner reveals he traded MapleStory currency for Likes
Last week, Mothership.sg reported on Poulet restaurant’s Facebook photo contest, where some contestants were miffed that this eventual winner took advantage with the ambiguous rules making it use of fake Likes to gain a good edge.
The winner, Eugene Seah, 19, has revealed how he secured his 1,200 plus Facebook Likes and won a vacation for two to Paris.
The rules in the contest were simple: Pose for any MapleStory 2 Mesos picture drawn in Poulet, upload it onto Facebook plus the most Likes wins. The contest ran for just two weeks in February to coincide with Valentine’s Day.
After being accused of buying Likes to win the contest, Eugene Seah, a company administration student, told The Straits Times today that they had traded currency from online role-playing game MapleStory for Facebook Likes instead.
The currency, such as virtual money along Buy MapleStory 2 Mesos with-game items, for instance swords, is usually earned by playing the experience.
Through this approach, Seah explained that she did not pay money to buy Likes since it was an exchange.
