7 Habits to Get You Healthy in No Time

Fitness

Getting fit and healthy can be quite a tiresome process. Especially as a working woman or a mother of two, there’s nothing you’d rather be doing than getting some rest in the moments of peace you do manage to land. However, being a fit and healthy woman as you age has remarkable benefits not only on your skin and against illnesses but on your mental health. So here are 7 habits that will get you healthy in no time!

Do It from Home

All the excuses manage to come up when you’ve to head out from home and across to the gym. Well, You don’t even have to leave home to get your activities done! You can get 30 minutes of exercise done at home, through sets of different activities. It really boils down to your commitment to the cause. Becoming fit and healthy has to be your number one priority, else it’ll never work and excuses will always get in the way.

Measure Up

Use a calorie calculator so you know exactly what kind of foods you should be staying away from. As time goes by, you’ll be able to settle into a healthy dieting routine and be able to experiment and make eating both fun and nutritional experience, especially if you want to get your kids more involved.

Walk More

There are so many instances where you could be more involved in physical activity. For example, a walk to the grocery store, to get your coffee or even as a family activity. Just how many times have you used your car in these instances? Slowly replace those instances with walking as much as possible in your day to day life.

Don’t Deprive

Fully depriving yourself of all those sugary sweet desserts or that junk food will only result in you heavily binging in a moment of weakness. It’s better if you use a 80/20 strategy when it comes to your diet. Be nutritious and conscious of what you’re eating at least 80% of the time and with the remaining 20 treat yourself occasionally- but not counterintuitively.

Increase the Family Activities

This is another way to get yourself moving on a daily basis while increasing the amount of quality time you spend with your family.  Organize hikes, bikes ride or even a game of soccer- anything outdoors that will get everyone engaged!

Shorten Your Workout Time

You needn’t always set aside an hour for working out. What matters is that when you do work out, you do it efficiently, working your entire body into a sweat.  Even ten to twenty minutes would do on days where you’re a bit pressed for time.

Sleep Well

It’s even more important for you to get at least seven to eight hours of sleep. A good night’s rest will ensure that you have long term health and that you’re ready to face the next day!

Stick to these 7 habits and you’ll find yourself settling down into a routine in no time. You’ll find that staying focused will be the hardest part but make fitness your priority and try not to work out on your own- everything will settle into place.
