Masterbatch

What is Masterbatch?

• Masterbatch is a concentrated mixture of pigments and/or additives encapsulated during a heat process into a carrier resin which is then cooled and cut into a granular shape. Masterbatch allows the processor to color raw polymer economically during the plastics manufacturing process.

The polymers: • There are many different ways of processing PVC compound: extrusion, calendaring, injection, molding, and extrusion/stretch blow molding.

Product Range :White Masterbatch: A large number of varieties are available depending on the percentage of titanium dioxide, tone required, end use application and processing techniques. • Black Masterbatch: We developed a standard range of black Masterbatch based on polyolefin's and styrene to give a spread of properties, from excellent jetness, UV protection and food contact approval to more economical blacks for imparting coloration. • Color Masterbatch: Over 600 different shades are available for outdoor and indoor use; we have a well equipped facility in our color matching laboratory to develop color as per customer requirements.

Special Effect Masterbatch Metallic/glitter Masterbatch: it adds glittering/metallic effect in the Final product .These is mainly used in injection molded items. • Pearlescent Masterbatch: it contains special pearl pigments to give luster/sparkle effect, to all colors. • Fluorescent Masterbatch: it contains fluorescent pigments which are not only possess the color it reflects but also emits fluorescent light in same color.

Additive Masterbatch UV Masterbatch: it protects the base resin from the effects of sunlight, which extends the service life of molded and extruded products. It is mainly used in green house films, tapes, garden chairs, crates etc. . . • Antiblock Masterbatch: it modifies the surface of extruded films to prevent it from sticking to it or another surface and improves the opening characteristics of films/bags. • Slip Masterbatch: it reduces friction between the layer of the film and other surfaces in contact with film. It ensures good handling properties in automotive packing application; it is mainly used in mono / multilayer films etc. • Polymer processing aid Masterbatch: it improve the processing of polyolefin's (LLDPE, HDPE …) particularly in blown film extrusion along with other benefits such as removal of die lines, melt fracture, and back pressure and increase in gloss and output. It also used in blow molded items to improve output and gloss on the surface. • Antimicrobial Masterbatch: provides excellent long term protection against the growth of bacteria and fungi that cause odor, discoloration and other aesthetic problems.
