MSN is a web portal and it acts as the brand for a group of sites produced inside Microsoft's Interactive Media Group.  But, if we see the current scenario, MSN not working for people. Some part of today’s youth wouldn't even about MSN.

There are a lot of reasons behind it. The primarily being its ineffective working style and its competitive brands in the Market. When we have Google and Yahoo, why would we use something like MSN, which doesn’t even have a user-friendly look.

When Google came up, people found it better than MSN. Though the company tried to redesign the search engine, it didn’t work. They added features like maps and one Drive, but there was no creativity there. After seeing their rival, Google get the market, they also decided to include some new features like Windows Live Messenger. But, this feature no longer exists as an individual feature, it got integrated with Skype.

In 2014, Microsoft launched a completely rewritten MSN, which works as a search engine and provides information from news to entertainment. But, it failed to replace Google. And YAHOO.

The websites that appear in the search results are filtered. MSN doesn’t consider the authorization of the page, whereas Yahoo considers it. Google only shows a webpage when it has earned a minimum level of trust.

Also, MSN is not good at finding out trust scores related to age. Yahoo shows old web pages, but it is no match to Google's SERPs.

After the analysis, we now know why MSN is not working anymore. There are tough competitors and if MSN is not being redesigned, Microsoft will soon have to decide to bring it down.
