Superior Singing Method Review
He made himself a name on the mixtape scene and later Superior Singing Method Review met up with Dj Khaled in 2007 outside of a radio station in Florida that focuses mostly on Rap and R and B music. He handed Khaled his demo tape and autobiography and shortly after Khaled asked Ace to do a freestyle rap of the instrumental beat I'm So Hood. That freestyle impressed Dj Khaled and landed Ace Hood a deal to Dj Khaled's label named We the Best Records. In 2009 Ace was one of the talented artists that was named one of the Freshman of 2009 by magazine XXL.
In 2008 Ace dropped his first album titled Gutta. Among some of the tracks on his album were singles titled Ride featuring R and B singer Trey Songs and also Cash Flow featuring superstar T-Pain. He stayed on the grind and staying true to his fans by dropping a mixtape titled Ace Won't Fold. He recorded a track with some other rappers for Dj Khaled's track Out Here Grinding. Ace then went on the road promoting his album Gutta with DJ Khaled by making guest appearances at places such as WUAG 103.1FM located in Greensboro, North Carolina on September 7, 2008.
His second album titled Ruthless dropped on June 26th, 2009. This album was also released by Def Jam. His singles on this album included Loco Wit The Cake and Overtime, which featured previous collaborator T-Pain and also powerhouse hit maker Akon. Rapper Rick Ross also appeared on this album.
