However, due to the artificial production of natural stones, misconceptions have come into play. Even though the professional institutions tried to downplay the misconceptions, they persist. The whole natural stone industry will be affected by misconceptions and misconceptions can be a huge disadvantage for the consumers/buyers. Nevertheless, let’s discuss some of the common misconceptions about natural stone.

1. It is difficult to maintain natural stone countertops

If your countertops have sealant application, you don’t have to worry about maintaining the natural stone countertops. The process of sealant is pretty straightforward. Therefore, if you hear people say that natural stone is tough to maintain, explain them sealant. With sealant, you can place hot pans and pots on your countertop as it is stain and heat resistant. Moreover, you can clean the countertop using warm water.

2. Natural stone is expensive

Well, this is actually a misconception even though natural stone is expensive. Yes, even though they are expensive you are not going to bear the cost over and over. Instead, it is going to be a once and for all costs. For example, if you install natural stone countertops you don’t have to think about redoing it any time soon. Natural stone countertops, floors, etc. would be a great investment.

3. Natural stone has confined patterns and colors

You can find different patterns and colors if you check with the suppliers. Marble can be found in white, cream, or blue-grey colors. Likewise, there are different shades that you can pick from. Also, you can find a wide range of colors in granite stone as well. Therefore, this is a misconception that needs to be rectified.

4. Natural stone is outdated

If you didn’t know before, it is time to know that each stone has its uniqueness. Of course, with time, the trend may fade away, but natural stone is a timeless designer product. People who love aesthetic and vintage looks may still prefer natural stone.
