The Best Hair Extension Types For Curly Hair

Beauty

Ever been jealous of another girl’s long, flowing, curly hair, when you can’t get yours to grow past your chin?

Curly hair takes forever to grow, or maybe itjust feels like it…

But now, you don’t have to wait, thanks to the range of hair extensions and clip-ins now available from my natural hair extensions!

In fact, there are so many brands and choices out there, it is a bit overwhelming. But we understand curly hair and curly girls, so we got you.We are going to cover some of the basics that you should look for to help you work out what will suit you.

Best material for hair extensions

The best types of hair extensions, for curly and straight hair, are made from human hair. They look and feel just like the rest of your hair, and can be styled and washed just the same. This is important though – not all hair weaves are the same, so make sure you pick your manufacturer carefully. Some mix in artificial hair with real human hair, so be careful and read up before you buy! We only use the real thing btw…

You also want to check whether the hair has been processed or not. Hair extensions that haven’t been processed last longer and give a better result.

Semi-permanent…?

Hair extensions can sewn-in, braided in or glued in to give a more semi-permanent look. Sewn-in or braided means your natural hair is braided, with extensions then sewn in. Glued in means just that, glued in using special glue. These extensions can’t easily be removed but should sit perfectly in with your natural hair. While popular, the tight tension from braided styles can cause headaches and even hair loss! They also need a bit more TLC than other extensions, so you will have to wash them carefully and frequently.

If you are going to extensions semi-permanently attached, make sure you have only the best quality extensions and get high quality advice on how to manage them to make sure they look their best as long as possible. Any reputable provider, like us, should be able to help – but if they can’t give advice, run away!

Or clip in?

Clip-in hair pieces can be a bit trickier for curly hair, but if you can get them right, they can give a lot of flexibility. They are basically hair on a clip that can be attached at the roots of your natural hair, which can then be cut and styled to suit your natural hair, butcan be taken out whenever you want. However, you need to be careful in making sure that each clip-in piece is styled to work perfectly with your natural hair. Learn How to Blend Natural Hair Clip-Ins with Kinky Curly Hair
