The Menopause Myth Review

The type of cyst is a consideration. They aren't all identical. A "simple The Menopause Myth Review cyst", filled with only liquid, (the most common), is less likely to require surgery than a "complex cyst",containing more solid matter. There are three types of cyst that almost routinely require surgical removal: Endometriomas, Cystadenomas, and Dermoid cysts.

Endometriomas cysts are caused by endometriosis. You already know that. But, you may be wondering if the drugs used to control endometriosis would be effective for treating the cyst. There is no simple answer. They can be helpful. But, these cysts tend to grow very large, and are prone to rupture. Therefore they are more apt to be treated surgically.

Cystadenomas cysts are almost always benign. However they tend to grow especially large and cause problems just due to their size, such as constipation and pain, also too frequent urination. Also these cysts are new growths of abnormal tissue. It is difficult to determine whether this tissue is of concern without examination under a microscope. The only way to get a tissue sample is through surgery. Dermoid cysts are also abnormal tissue. However, about half of them have "teeth" which the doctor can determine by Xray and CT scan. Surgery may be needed for removal, but not usually for determination of type.
