Things are different, everything has changed, and you're going to need to look forward and focus on creating a new life rather than hold onto the past, now irrelevant, life you used to lead. You can no longer define yourself according to what used to be. The main pains in life come from holding on to some dream of a life that you can no longer lead, and the sooner you can let go of those fantasies and embrace that things need to change, the better off you will be, the better prepared you'll be to embrace the changes you need to make.
