How to Make an HP Laptop Faster?

Technology

HP’s laptops are quite portable, uses less power and make no noise while running. But somehow, they become bit noisy and start to consume more power than others.

HP laptops can give you a headache by running many programs. As the result of that, the system consumes much power as well as slows down the performance.  In that case, overclocking is the optimal solution. To that end, HP Support is presenting a blog. If this sounds good you are at right place, as HP Technical Support will cover everything you needed. So let’s jump straight into steps:

  • Power on your laptop. To that end, press and hold the Power button on the top-front deck of the laptop.
  • Now, wait for a few seconds until shows the signs of life.
  • Once the display powers up, tap the Delete button on your keyboard to get into its BIOS settings.
  • Next, navigate to the main menu by selecting the Advanced Tools.
  • As you do that, the BIOS will take you the main internal settings.
  • Here, choose CPU Multiplier Tool from the option that appears.
  • Now, to optimise the speed, raise the multiplier one-step higher. For instance, if the multiplier is 3x; make it to 5x.
  • After making changes, hit the F10 button key on your keyboard to restart it.
  • You can also install Prime 95. Install it and run it.
  • Let it work around 13 minutes on the notebook.
  • After this time period, run the Torture Test.
  • If the test obstructs during the season that means the CPU of your system is not suitable/compatible for overclocking.
  • In that case, set the Multiplier to its previous stage, and hit the F10 button to restart it.
