Booth No: F15: Our purpose is to produce honey, so the bee is at the centre of our working life. The bee's welfare is our priority; in fact we use state-of-the-art software to oversee the health of our hives, while ensuring at the same time that every action we take - dictated by tradition - follows the hive's natural rhythms without disrupting or disturbing this incredibly well-organised microcosm. Our business “Il Nettare del Castello” arises from an old family tradition: we produce honey and other goods in the shadow of Manta Castle. The landmark product in our range is our lavender honey, gathered by our bees right in the heart of Provence. Our most recent recognition was the “Due gocce d'oro” awarded to our wildflower honey at the prestigious national competition “Grandi mieli d'Italia”. The outstanding feature that makes our firm distinctive is our "red gold": the Italian saffron which we have reintroduced in the Saluzzo area, where it was grown way back in the Middle Ages.
