Oman is best known for its oil but it is slowly developing other industries like agriculture, mining, and fisheries. Foreign investment is encouraged in these industries by the government. Oman is also investing heavily in infrastructure, including its transport system. Oman is currently developing a railway to link Oman with other Gulf states. The railway will become a new mode of transportation in the region.
