Batek (BETEK) was founded in 1988. Its name was chosen from the combination of the first two parts of the Turkish word "Beton" and the concrete and Turkish word "Teknoloji" means technology. In the early years of the company in the industry, the company developed its products to become of high quality that meets the needs of the construction sector and has been put into the market, such as concrete materials, prefabricated concrete and water insulation materials. These products have attracted the admiration of customers, which has achieved a large volume of sales, and following the research prepared to open new markets, decided to produce building paints and put them on the market.

The company stepped up its efforts in the field of building paints in 1993 through its technological cooperation with Caparol, one of the largest brands in the field of paints. This company has become one of the hallmarks of the Turkish company and the Turkish paint sector. Turkey has also known a new brand and has acquired technological abundance of the largest brands in paints in Europe. The company is the first Turkish paint company to start production with a European partner, and the first company to make profits from the inflow of foreign capital to the paint sector.

BTC has become one of the strongest companies in the paint sector and a symbol of the industry. By 2001, the market in the paint sector in Turkey remained the leading market leader by increasing the plant area and developing it to an area of ​​approximately 152000 square meters with a production capacity of 250,000 tons In one rosary, and more than 5000 selling points and through 1000 employees approximated. It has obtained certificates from ISO 9000 and ISO 9001, which will benefit the paints and insulation industry.

After the arrival of the company to the top of the paint sector in Turkey decided to establish another plant outside the Turkish border, and after thorough studies decided that Egypt is the headquarters of the new plant because of Egypt's large internal markets and good business relations with the countries of the Middle East and Africa. In 2003, over the course of two years, it studied the Egyptian market and surrounding markets to determine the needs of these markets. In mid-2005, the experimental production started and in 2006 the actual production began. Since then, based on the technical and technical support of Turkey and Germany's Caprol, and in accordance with the environmental policy of both, BATC Egypt offers 5 to 8 new products annually according to market requirements and variables. The company has achieved great success in the production of lead-free products thanks to the modern technology used in its factories.
