أعلنت مصادر تجارية أن السعودية تعتزم استيراد كميات شبه قياسية من الديزل هذا الصيف، وذلك استعداداً للحر الشديد ولمواكبة زيادة في حركة السفر خلال شهر رمضان، وبحسب المصادر ستستورد شركة النفط الوطنية العملاقة أرامكو السعودية ما يصل إلى 9 .8 مليون برميل من الديزل في يونيو / حزيران ارتفاعاً من مستوى يقدر بين 7 .6 و5 .7 مليون برميل في مايو/أيار. وتتوقع المصادر ذاتها التعاقد على كمية مماثلة أو أعلى لشهر يوليو / تموز، حسبما نشر موقع رويترز. Egypt, KSA to sign joint power line deal
Egyptian electricity and energy minister Ahmed Imam is expected to sign an agreement with his Saudi counterpart for the construction of an electrical power line between the two countries, Daily News Egypt has reported. Sembcorp opens $1bn Salalah IWPP
Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) has announced the official opening of its $1bn Salalah Independent Water and Power Plant (Salalah IWPP) in Oman. The facility comprises a gas-fired power plant with a total gross capacity of 490 megawatts and a seawater desalination plant with a total water production capacity of 15 million imperial gallons (69,000 cubic metres) per day. Orpic denies technical problems at Sohar Refinery
Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co (Orpic) has denied that Sohar Refinery had experienced problems during its shutdown last February, Oman Daily Observer has reported.
