أعلنت شركة طيران الجزيرة عن إبرام عقد لمدة شهرين قابل للتمديد لتأجير طائرة إيرباص من طراز ايه 320 لشركة طيران ناس بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وأن قيمة العقد حوالي 1,6 مليون دولار (فقط مليون وستمائة ألف دولار"، حسبما نشر موقع بورصة الكويت. ويأتي ذلك بهدف مواصلة تنفيذ استراتيجية المجموعة في قطاع التأجير العالمي لتعزيز إيرادات ثابتة للمجموعة لتحقيق افضل مردود للمساهمين. أعلن رئيس هيئة الطيران المدني ورئيس شركة طيران الإمارات الشيخ أحمد بن سعيد آل مكتوم أن صناعة النقل الجوي في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي تتطور بشكل متسارع، مشيراً إلى أن معظم دول الخليج العربي سارعت خلال السنوات القليلة الماضية إلى تطوير مطاراتها لتكون متجاوبة مع التسارع الملحوظ في حركة النقل الجوي والتجاوب مع النمو الاقتصادي الذي تشهده هذه الدول، مشيرا إلى أن إمارة دبي كانت سباقة في الاستعداد لهذا النمو من خلال إنشاء مطار دبي وورلد سنترال "جبل علي"، والذي سيفتح أبوابه في اكتوبر المقبل، حسبما نشرت صحيفة المدينة السعودية.
