Dubai sugar silos expected to start in March
Three new sugar storage silos at the Dubai Al Khaleej refinery, with a total capacity of 465,000 tonnes, are expected to start operations next month, site managers said on Monday. The main dome-shaped raw sugar silo, with a capacity of 1 million tonnes, now holds some 250,000 tonnes of raw sugar, they added. The site managers were taking delegates from the February 4-7 Kingsman Dubai sugar conference on a tour of the plant, one of the biggest sugar refineries in the world.
