EGYPTAIR Distinguished Participation In Madrid “Fitur” Fair
EGYPTAIR participated in the Spanish International Tourism Fair “Fitur” opened wednesday 18th of Jan 2012 morning with the presence of the Spanish Crown Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia Ortiz, the wife of prince Felipe and the Spanish Minister of Tourism.
EGYPTAIR delegation was headed by Capt Ayman Nasr, EGYPTAIR AIRLINES Chairman & CEO, who said “EGYPTAIR considers Spain as one of the most important markets in Europe as it is an important source of tourism; as well, we shall increase flights to Barcelona to 7 weekly flights starting next April to encourage the tourism in the next summer season.”
Nasr added “cooperation between EGYPTAIR and the Egyptian Tourism Authority in the preparation of the Fitur Fair, in the light of the continuous cooperation strategy between the Ministry of civil Aviation and the Ministry of Tourism for supporting the tourism to restore the normal levels, was crystal clear in providing an integrated travel product which finds a great welcoming from the Spanish travel companies.”
EGYPTAIR participated under the Egyptian section in the fair. Mr. Mounier Fakhry Abdel Nour, the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation, visited EGYPTAIR booth and was welcomed by Capt Ayman Nasr, Mr. Safwat Muslam, EGYPTAIR Spain and Portugal district manager, Mr. Khaled Koheil, Barcelona office Manager, Mrs, Magda Metwaly, EGYPTAIR AIRLINES Marketing Director and Mrs. Sahar Emam, EGYPTAIR MICE department manager.
Noteworthy, Fitur Fair is the second largest travel fair in the world after Berlin Travel Market and the largest travel exhibition in the Mediterranean countries. Fitur is held between the 18th and the 21st January with the participation of more than 12 thousand exhibitor from 166 countries and 350 thousand visitors interested in Travel and Airline business around the globe
